Dyslexia Foundation Program Annual Meeting

Our Annual Meeting is a night of Fun, fellowship and most importantly fund raising. This is the only fund raising project the Foundation has each year. We depend on this evening for all our scholarships and office supplies to keep us from having to raise our tuition. Did you realize we have not raised tuition or the pay for our paid tutors and supervisors in over 10 years! We depend on the generous donations from grateful parents, grandparents, and several businesses to make our Annual Meeting’s dinner and silent auction a success. So please help us out by 1st donating items to be auctioned, 2nd ask merchants where you visit/shop to donate items for gift certificates and 3rd THE MOST IMPORTANT, come Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 6:00pm at St. Benedict High School (where we have Saturday School). Have a wonderful spaghetti dinner; hear a wonderful speaker who graduated from our Foundation, then college and is now a successful realtor with a family of her own. Then, bid generously on some wonderful items. There are gift certificates of all kinds from restaurants, movies, and birthday party packages to museums and sporting events. There are also lots of nick-knacks, bric-a-brac and fun things for the kids to bid on. So mark your calendar now and plan to attend.

We also need your help by collecting items to bid on. Any time you are shopping at your favorite store or eating at your favorite restaurant, ask for a donation. Many businesses are willing to donate a little something or even a big something. Someone just needs to ask. Remember, we are a 501c3 non-profit origination, which means anything donated is tax deductable. We will be glad to furnish a letter for anyone donating items. Give it a try, we welcome all donations; even gently used items. Check to see what Santa brought that you are not wild about – donate it! Do you have a talent or service? Do you babysit, work on computers, tutor, clean house, mow lawns or bake cakes? We take gift certificates too! The price cannot be beat. Dinner is only $5.00 per person or $20.00 for the family of 6 or less. Please help us make this year’s meeting a success – donate something, and then come on April 18 to say “Hi” to members you might not have seen in a while, enjoy dinner and bid on items others have donated.
See you there!

Here is a list of the businesses that donated items to the auction. Please support them and be sure to thank them for their generosity to the Foundation each time you visit them.
